I love the game, no doubt. But im currently experiencing some mouse problems. The mouse is a bit slow, and its in a wierd way difficult to target things. The mouse is laggy and feels a bit to smooth.

Anyone know how to fix this? Other than this the game seems to work perfect.

And im sorry about my user name... hmm, probably though i was funny back in the days. Hope no one is offended ;)

About your nickname... I laughed, so I guess im still childish as ever. And that is a good thing :D

Anyway, about your problem, I fixed it by forcing Vsync in my graphics card panel. Try it too, and report ;)

Wait, what was vsync set to before? If you managed to fix silver by changing from application controlled to forced on, I'm a little worried, because silver requires vsync and it should always be on by default... (If it's forced off in the driver control panel on the other hand, silver will break in lots of nasty little ways such that the cursor will be the least of your worries... Broken animations, broken transitions, broken quests...)

Something similar with me, but I worked it around another way.
My wireless mouse has 3 resolution settings. On the highest one (faster speed) the lag is evident. On the lowest one, I can't notice (probably low enough for not to be noticed).
Hope it helps (also, I laughed at your nickname, and I agree with nopaint on the reasons XD)
Same problem. It's difficult to target things. Anyone found another solution?

Edit: I found a solution!

1. On Windows 7, go to the Windows mouse control panel (Control Panel>Hardware&Sound>Devices&Printers>Mouse)

2. Go to "Pointer Options" tab and uncheck "Enhance Pointer Precision"

That's it! Post if this solve your problem ^^

Hey rapsodiaverde,

I've just installed Silver and encountered the mentioned mouse issues. I tried your way. It solves my problem completely. Thank you very much!

Kind regards,

gaensefan
I just bought the game and I'm having issues with the mouse as well. It feels very "floaty". I don't know how else to describe it, but like you're controlling a character while moving on ice. It's not comfortable in the least, and is neigh unplayable in this state for me at least.

I've tried the Vsync and pointer precision tricks, but they didn't help.

Does anyone have any other solutions I might try?
I seem to have fixed the issue.

I did so by going to the desktop and right clicking on the Silver icon, and then going to the Compatibility tab, and ticking "Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution"

The only downside is that the game doesn't stretch the screen to fill out your widescreen monitor, but it's not really a problem having a black bar on each side of the game. It still looks natural, and doesn't detract from the game at all. It just forces 4:3 instead of 16:9 I guess. The upside is that the "floaty" mouse input lag thing seems to be gone.
