Few times during my playthrough the game would crash giving Access violation error and it was always at the same place and nothing worked for me until I tracked down the name of the file of the area. For example I kept crashing when zoning to the alley leading to the gate with the bell and the folder for that one was bak2gate.

So as a last resort I installed 2nd silver installation to separate folder and copied the files from that installation and even though the size and everything was the same.. it worked and I managed to finish the game.
