I am having the same problem. Win7 64 SP1, 8 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 570. I can run S2 with no problems, but S3 crashes with "Sentinels.exe has stopped working" if I start the game and it progresses past the opening screens. As soon as it tries to go to the main menu, either by pressing a key to skip the cinematics or just waiting for them to complete, I get the CTD.

AaronAsh: The original version of this game (which I have) has a bug where it will not run on systems with over 3GB of RAM; if GoG hasn't fixed that in this version it's pretty terrible.

Can anyone else with over 3GB of RAM confirm if they have been able to run this?
I have 4 gig ram and it works fine. Still have the original CDs which dont work, even after applying the patch
Uh OH--
Im d'ling it now, and I have Windows 7 SP1 64-bit Home Premium, 16mb ram, gtx670..

Let's see what happens..

EDIT: tenHUT!..At ease Kilroy, both games work!

Thiev: In that case please send support ticket with dxdiag attached and we'll look into it tomorrow. At home I have access to Nvidia cards only and cannot replicate the issue.

It's a long shot, but check if you have any stray 'run32dll.exe' processes running in the background. Often they prevent various applications from starting. You can also try messing a bit with Catalyst settings. Without AMD card of my own can't give you any specifics though.

xiriod: EDIT: Strange thing, it seems I actually can get it to work without that DLL file but I have to do the following.

1.) Start the game and let nothing happen

2.) Go to task manager and kill game.exe but letting the parent process rundll32.exe be.

3.) Start the game again with the rundll32.exe already active from last time.

Now, I have no explanation for this one.
I have the same behavior on my machine. S2 started game.exe (0%) and rundll32.exe (~20-30%) are displayed in the task list but nothing happens. S3 works well. So I copy d3d9.dll from S3 folder into S2 folder and now it seems to work. I completed only tutorial at the time.
