Thiev: In that case please send support ticket with dxdiag attached and we'll look into it tomorrow. At home I have access to Nvidia cards only and cannot replicate the issue.
It's a long shot, but check if you have any stray 'run32dll.exe' processes running in the background. Often they prevent various applications from starting. You can also try messing a bit with Catalyst settings. Without AMD card of my own can't give you any specifics though.
xiriod: EDIT: Strange thing, it seems I actually can get it to work without that DLL file but I have to do the following.
1.) Start the game and let nothing happen
2.) Go to task manager and kill game.exe but letting the parent process rundll32.exe be.
3.) Start the game again with the rundll32.exe already active from last time.
Now, I have no explanation for this one.
I have the same behavior on my machine. S2 started game.exe (0%) and rundll32.exe (~20-30%) are displayed in the task list but nothing happens. S3 works well. So I copy d3d9.dll from S3 folder into S2 folder and now it seems to work. I completed only tutorial at the time.
