After finishing Silent Storm I loaded Sentinels and went on my merry way. After a while playing quicksave had issues and did not want to save all the time, screen just flickered and then it did not want to load any games. A restart of the game was required after which it worked for a time and returned. This latter interval grew shorter and soon I had to restart the game too often for it to be any fun.
I noticed in the game directory the game created these dirs: temp and temp.bak and for some reason it could not access or delete these directories after a while and thus not being able to manage the savegame/loading.
I searched the net a long time until I found a guy at a russian forum with a similiar though not identical issue but for Silent Storm and used google translate and found this (google translated from here: http://www.zzima.com/forum/showthread.php?t=25868):
"The solution of the problem.
1) Save the game on global map
2) Exit the game
3) run into the directory [game] \ save \ [profile name] \ [name of the saved game]
4) Delete all files in it except game.sav
5) start the game, load a saved
6) Everything you can go to the base.
All that was left on base (PC etc.) - will be lost."
I tried that, but it did not work here.
Anyone here have this issue or remember it from way back when and know how to remedy it I would be very grateful because I really love this series.
