After downloading the windows installer, i'll attempt to run it but after it checks the integrity of the file nothing happens..

i'll try running the installer repeatably but nothing happens as well.. any reasons?

I had the same problem as you, I'm on Vista & could'nt install it so I set compatibility to XP and Ran as admin, however just as I was about to shut down my PC around an hour later it popped up asking me if I wanted to continue with the installation.

I don't know if the compatibly and admin thing made a difference but it definitely takes a while for some reason. Just wait an hour or so after clicking on the icon to install it, if you had the same problem as me it will work.
