I found a solution!! :) Just use DXWND -latest version, 3D Analyze might do the trick too- and set it to your desired resolution. Then download the Universalreschanger2 program mentioned before, here;

And THEN, most important step, instead of the default value 1024 in the config.cfg (within the
CFG folder in Silent Storm main folder, use this value!
setvar gfx_resolution = 1280.00 (1280 was because I wanted 1280x720 or 768. The only issue with this for you is that maybe the height can't be changed and it's always set to 768, but my laptop's monitor is 1366x768 native.
In your case set it to:
setvar gfx_resolution = 1920.00 But config.cfg and resolution.ini are set in my case to windowed mode, but I am not sure if it makes a difference when DXWnd is a factor too.
