After some time game starts showing blank rectangles instead of text.
That includes information messages during battle.
Someone had this problem?

Looks like same problem here www.gog.com/forum/silent_service_1_2/ss2_randomly_losing_messages

But alt+r does not help me

And yes, it happens after bringing up ship id book.
