I need some help - in the war patrol how do i actually end it - ie i go back to a base eg Midway, and the screen does its yellow and green flashing - but i cant find the button to end it and so what happens is htat my sub runs out of fuel and i lose. When i am back at base, what button do i push to officially end the patrol?

When you reach any American base, the game asks you whether you'd like to finish the patrol (press y for yes and n for no). So most likely you are not in a location with a base. You need to be at the exact spot, they are marked by tiny dots. (In case you are actually playing the old Silent Service I, you need to press the <Enter> key).

thanks! yes i am playing SS1 atm and i hav ebeen trying all manner of things to end th epatrol once i am back on a base - i will try the enter key though i think i have tried that already, but i will keep at it
