Hello, Is there any way to disable DoF effect in this game? It's so horrible, low res and distracting.

Wrapper by Nemesis doesn't work with GoG version.

There is no way to disable it in options. Silent Hill 4 PC Fix by Steam006 is updated to work with GOG version so now I can disable this horrible DOF.

Yep can confirm this works fine with the GOG version (see attached screenshot). I hope the GOG team finds a way to include this fix in the game by default at some point.

Well, that effect is annoying, it's annoying like the forced noise effect of Silent Hill Origins until you finish the story for the first time but at least you can close the effect in the second and later playthroughs in Silent Hill Origins. However, in Silent Hill 4, no such thing is applied to the game. :(

Anyway, there must be an additional config file to modify the blur effect and the black bars in cutscenes just like the patch of Steam006, hope they may add it later sometimes.

Nope there is no extra config file. It's the "SILENT HILL 4.exe" that needs to be edited in order to remove the blur effect etc. which is what the Steam006 DLL Injector does. It's probably just a small line of code in the EXE file that needs to be changed to have the blur or the black bars in cutscenes removed. I hope those who added all the other new fixes to the game will find a working solution. If modders can do it then they should be able to do it too.

Well I hope they find a working solution to add the most necessary fixes and maybe even the missing hauntings properly, too.

By the way, is the .exe file somewhat encrypted to require an additional injector file to be able to apply the fixes?
