Hello All,

As the sticky said, and as your GOG account will no-doubt point out to you, there is a new version of Signal Ops available. I thought I would take a little time to mention 1 particularly significant change with this new patch.

We have now implemented various difficulty modes which actually impact the gameplay of the game. We thought long and hard on how to address feedback about the difficulty of our game, and have come up with the following:

Easy Mode: The player is free to move their agents around the level space, so long as they keep them within the already established powersource ranges that have been combined together over the whole level. Think of this as your standard mission boundary, where if you go out, you will need to get back in in order to play (in our case we don't kill the player for going out of bounds, the screen just fuzzed out). The player no longer needs to worry about the radio, or its battery draining.

Medium Mode: The player progresses through the missions with their agents as usual, plugging the radio to new powersources along the way. The difference here, is that the radius range permanently expands when you plug into new powersources. Your Bolt agent will now place a repeater device onto each powersource they plug into. The repeater acts as a little radio that 's powered by the powersource, boosting the signal in that area. This makes backtracking and managing your other agents easier, as they will not fuzz out if they were behind or want to explore other paths in areas the player already ventured through.

Hard Mode: We like to call this the director's cut edition of Signal Ops. That's because this is the original gameplay we shipped the game with. While we are truly proud of this gameplay, but we realize that not everyone can appreciate this level of micromanagement and thus challenge it presents.

If you are already playing the game and have since patched it, you are playing on hard mode. For those who like it, we suggest keeping it on this setting. For those who feel like there is maybe just too much going on to keep track of, we suggest changing the difficulty from the menu. This can be done at any point in the game.

Happy Gaming!
Thanks, this will be helpful if a mission turns out to be frustrating!
