I can get this game to work on my desktop computer, but on my laptop which is 10th gen cpu and has a Nvidia 2070 Super GPU on it I can't load this game. When I run Siege of Avalon program...it goes into a black screen and then kicks me back out to the desktpp. I have tried messing around with compatibility settings on the icon that runs the game. I was wondering if anyone has some fixes or advice. Thanks!

Update 04/12/21: Taking a cue from Qbert below, I tried running the game with integrated graphics as well, and it works just fine. Previously, I was using an nVidia card with the latest 465.89 WHQL driver, so this may be a driver issue that needs fixing on nVidia's end.

I have the same issue. Game does not load. After pressing the PLAY button the game goes black and sends me back to desktop..

(I'm also using a laptop /win10)



UPDATE
I just found out that the game works when I rightklick the EXE file and choose the integrated graphic card.

Upon launch you get an error saying "Playback error Resultcode: (-1072875852)" and just black screen, until you click OK on the error and the game shuts itself

Same issue on my end. Emailed gog support and developers with my dxdiag as well. Hopefully it can be sorted out!

I've got the 1.02 version on Windows 7. I can see the opening videos but then the screen simply goes black. If I go back to the desktop I can see 4-5 error dialogue boxes that all say the same thing: I click "Okay" and everything shuts down. This was the same using version 1.00, BTW.

Same here as the last post. LoL when GoG fixes a game that good that it doesn't even run any more. I didn't had any problems running the original and fucked me self up by deleting it and trying the gog version. It can't even get pass the intro.

I bought the game today, and i got the same Problem. The Intro plays normaly and when the game should start i had a black screen.

My specs are: Windwos 10
Grafic Card: NVidia Gforce 1080 TI
Intel I7 Quad Core 4990
32GB Ram
newest Gforce Driver
Patch Version 1.3.01 (newest one)
I tried all different Resolutions from 800x600 to FullHD

it didn´t worded. So i hope GOG can fix the problem
