I've played the game when I was a child. Something that struck me as very odd, but absolutely added to the flavor was this very old timey German translation.

Old words noone uses anymore, old orthography, etc.
I'm talking words like "Ade", which is an old word for goodbye, clearly used to be in the beginning dialogues of the game, but isn't anymore.

I do think that I have a version of the game still featuring all of this. (CD but missing key)

I'm just not quite sure if it would break my game if I tried to mod the files. Also, maybe some weird person like me also wants to experience it?

Either way, thank you, in case this is something anyone has experience with or if it can even be added as some optional patch. I am pretty sure I could provide the original files if someone needs them.

I'm pretty sure, that the conversations didn't change at all. Also the german ones should be the same as the ones from the CD-Version from 2000.
"Ade" is still used in many conversations.

So if you compare some files of your CD-Version I don't think that you will find much differences in the dialogues.
