Hi,
according to the described problem ("crash right after intro video with blackscreen") I suggest you have an AMD graphics card or at least an AMD Processor.
That's an already known bug and is fixed. But I don't think that there will be any more official updates coming. So that new 1.05 Version, whcih does include such a fix, is made by community.
