I bought sid Meire s pirates, but i can t get the game to start. Simply the game does not start. I have Windows 7 64 bit. Is there any solution to this problem?
It works for me on Win7 64bit.

Have you tried GoG's support page for the game yet?
I already got the game to work.
Thanks.

Yup - I would love to hear that as well.
Game doesn't start on Win 10 64. already tried compatibility mode with XP and Win 7, tried low resolution, the rename the messa3d.m3d file and still it doesn't start properly?!
Anybody out there who had the same issues?
I was getting sound but screen was just black when trying to launch the game.
Solution was to open the config.ini file and add "Fullscreen = 0".
Hope this helps!

Had the same problem and ran it as Admin which worked. After playing some time it turned into white pixel clouds drifting around my ship instead of other ships and terrain.

If you have Windows 7 try this from the GOG Help page:

https://support.gog.com/hc/en-us/articles/360025926714-Windows-7-Games-not-launching-Rundll32-related-issues?product=gog

Now I can start the game normally and no more graphic problems as well.

Hope it helps.
