Hi folks not sure if this happens to everyone so wanted to ask. I had a fleet of 4 ships and some gold to divide, so I divided plunder so the crew wouldn't be all upset. I had a decent number of crew as well but after the divide all my ships other than my flag ship was gone and all my crew was gone too. Is that normal? If so: wtf?!! Seriously? Just reset the damned thing to keep a crew happy which you'll never see again?

Also I've been reading people's posts, walkthroughs about having/being able to select different weapons for different enemies etc yet all weapons and so called special items are static, basically they're all passive buffs, auto-equipped, auto-used. For example the pistol which auto-plays a scene where the opponent fires then your guy fires doesn't really change the advantage bar at all.

I honestly don't get what's so good about this game. I played flash games on newgrounds with more depth and better implementation than this. I played the old pirates back in the day as well it wasn't this dull and empty. Am I missing something? Is there a button I'm not pressing?

In all Pirates! games, dividing plunder effectively ends the current voyage. Want to keep a specific ship? Sell all the other ships prior to dividing your plunder and you'll keep the one that remains. Once you end the voyage and pay off the crew members, they run off to blow their hard earned plunder and you are left to refit and get ready for your next voyage. The game forces you to do this from time to time as the crew will grow more and more unruly as time goes on.

Completely normal; it's covered in the manual.

Basically, if you divide up your plunder, it's the end of that voyage. Your crew are going to want to go and spend the gold on girls and booze, so won't hang around for you to cast anchor and leave port (they've got money to spend and don't want to be out sailing where they might catch a stray grape-shot). You sell all ships other than your flagship to maximise the loot to spend out (as your crew have scattered, you don't need many ships).

cheers guys I did play the oldie goldie one I guess I don't remember it that well. Anyway I already uninstalled it my ship got stuck on some sort of a "geographic loop of doom" when I was trying to dock near a landmark inside a peninsula, keeps asking me if I want to anchor there I select sail away and as soon as it sails away the ship rockets out to the neighboring shore lol I guess I expected more than it can offer.
