1) What is the game version listed in the launcher?

2) According to the dosbox emulator site, the versions circulating on abandonware sites contain a bug that make it impossible to jump by using the SHIFT key, but instead cursor keys always jump on the main orthogonal directions. Does the GOG version also contain this bug?

Thank you for clarification.

Heh, I always thought that was the proper way the game worked. I have the original box right here and the manual states in order to jump you need to press shift+num-arrows, as you said. It doesn't say anything about using the up-down-left-right directional. In the version on GOG and all others I've played, shift+num-arrows does nothing, num-arrows move the character and the regular arrows jump horizontally and vertically.

Unfortunately I cannot test the boxed version because it comes in 5.25 floppies, but my guess is that's not a bug, otherwise it wouldn't work like it does (why would a bug "remap" jump to a very similar command?). It's just the way the game works, perhaps after a patch or update.

One serious bug is that nothing I do accelerates the car. I never engage in car chases because of that, and god preserve me from having to lose a tail from chasers.
