I made this little mod a few years ago and never got around to sharing it because I had no way of doing so without redistributing the actual game files. I finally figured out a way to offer the mod as a "patch" that requires the original game, as well as providing an easy way to install the "mod" alongside the original game (so you can play either version).

Basically, it swaps the assistants and "date" case reward scenes so that female Max (Maxine) has a female assistant and is "rewarded" with female dates, while male Max (Maximilian) has a male assistant and is "rewarded" with male dates.

Installing the mod will display a new menu when you run the game via the normal shortcuts, allowing you to pick whether you want to run the original game or modded version. This menu will also let you manage the mod (install. uninstall, delete).

I hope others find this mod useful. Let me know if you have any trouble with it; I made it based on the GOG version, but it should work on Steam or even old floppy versions on real DOS hardware!

As a longtime Covert Action fan, this was fun to make... even if my reasons for it (wanting to play as female Max but still get the sexy lady date scenes) are a bit silly. If it resonates with actual gay and lesbian players wanting to play as a gay or lesbian Max... all the better.
