Right now Doxbox is set "auto" cycles. At least for me that makes the game far too slow. I've been playing this for years, and the speed just is not right.

I really don't know if "auto" is the same for everyone, but I strongly recommend to set cycles in the config file to "fixed 5500" in order to get the original feel to the game. It's a lot more responsive.

One thing to note, is that the game will never run too fast, though if the speed is set too high then the fading the pictures in and out just slows down. So definitely set the cycles to around 5k to 10k
