I can't get windowed mode to work for Civ III. From what I've read here, one has to edit either the "Civilization3.ini" file or the "Conquests\conquests.ini" file in the game folder to enable windowed mode. I couldn't find the Civilization3.ini file, so I edited the conquests.ini file to include "KeepRes =1" and "Video Mode=1152" but the game is still running full screen.

Is there another way to get windowed mode to work? I'm running Win7. Is there a hidden Civilization3.ini file?

I edited the conquests.ini file again, and it looks like there can't be any spaces in the parameters for windowed mode to work. I changed "KeepRes =1" to "KeepRes=1" and tried a larger resolution of "Video Mode=1280" and the game now runs in a window!
