Hi, bought CIV III Complete on GOG. Creating new game and on "Choose World" screen appears the box "Enter SEED".
Inside the manual is nothing about this. What is this choice and must be filled?

You can leave it at 0 (or blank, I am not sure which) and a random number is generated for you. Or you can choose a number, in case you feel like inputting it yourself, or to replay a map whose seed value you already know.

How do I edit Civ 3? When I go into the editor everything under Rules is grayed.

You have to allow "change rules" or "custom rules" or something like that. It's in one of the menu options. Then you can edit.
