Everytime I try to play Civ3 GoG version without internet connection, the game don't launch.
It doen't matter if I execute from Civ3Launcher.exe or Civ3Conquests.exe.

If internet connection is enabled I can launch the game, but sometime it needs 1minute or more to execute.

Civ3 is DRM free, so what is happening?

I'm using Win7 64 bits.

Are you running the game through Galaxy or the game executable? (Do note that later desktop shortcuts launch Galaxy first)

I'm running the game executable, not Galaxy.

OK, I have found the solution.
Win7 is trying to send information everytime I run Civ3 (an other games), using GameUx.dll. If there is no internet connection it does't permit the game to launch!!!
This is something that is happening with alot of old games.

I have been working around this problem for a while, but now I know it is a feature, not a bug (according to Microsoft).
