Hey guys. So the Firaxis screen comes up for a second or two and then, nothing, it closes out. I've tried a ton of stuff, to no avail, and am not sure why I can't play this now when I could about a year back. Any ideas? GOG support kinda left me hanging about it, I'd *love* to be able to play this again! Thanks guys.

Within [main game directory]/Alpha Centauri.Ini, have you attempted to set the following (from the default of 0):
DisableOpeningMovie=1

Obviously, this is unlikely to rectify the problem, but, it may aid with diagnosis. If, after modifying this setting, you are able to reach the main title screen, that could help with narrowing the pool of potential culprits.

I run the game through Wine (on Linux); so, it would be difficult to assist with a Windows-centric issue.
