Thought I'd ask about this here as well (I've sent in a question under Support).

After downloading the installation file (setup_sid_meiers_alpha_centauri.exe), I run it, but get this message after the file integrity check:

"Access violation at address 004D8212 in module 'setup_sid_meiers_alpha_centauri.exe'. Write of address 00401000."

This happens both for the file I downloaded through the browser and the one I downloaded through the GOG downloader.
