I play SMAC a lot, and often have to delete outdated save files manually. A few days ago, my save files disappeared.. Just GONE.. And I could not save the same way, by year automatically. Instead I have to select a name for the save, ie Save 1 etc. I thought my files may have become corrupted, so deleted and downloaded from GOG again, but no change.
Did GOG dislike the myriad auto saves that Galaxy has stored, and changed the game? If so, it's no longer the game I bought. Having to manually select a save file or write a new name each time is cumbersome.

So, if they have, and it's not just a quirk on my system, despite deleting all and a new install, what other games are next?
Or perhaps you may help me fix it, if it's an option that I hadn't known of, and can be changed back?
