Rhystic_One: LAN Multiplayer works perfectly for me. I even tested it with one Windows 7 PC and 1 MacBook Pro running Parallels Desktop with Windows XP. Just select the TCP/IP option and the rest is pretty easy ;)
jcsparkman01: I have absolutely no idea how to make this work. I used ipconfig to find the IP address. Hosted on one computer and tried to join from a second computer so my wife and I could multiplayer. It doesn't work. I've no idea what I'm doing wrong. I've checked the windows firewall setting to make sure the program is allowed on both computers. I've even shut off the firewall on both computers. I've alternated which computers hosts. It doesn't work.
My laptop is running on Windows 8 and my wife's computer is running Windows 7. Can that be the issue?
Any help will be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
I don't think that the different OSs cause the problem since, as I said, I successfully managed to create a match between a Windows 7 and a Mac OS X computer.
Check your network settings: make sure that you have enabled Network Discovery. If necessary, try to enable File Sharing as well.
Also, are you sure you've put the
internal IP address of the host computer?
Let me know if you make any progress ;)
