Hi folks,

Terribly noobish question here. I launch a new game, it runs smoothly, I save it and exit. When I re-launch the game and try to load my save the entire map is completely revealed, including areas i did not previously explore (which breaks immersion). Also AI movements/fights are tracked when the turn ends, irrespective of our diplomatic status.

How can I disable this behaviour?

Playing AC on GoG download. Tried unchecking 'show all unit actions', checked 'quick combat', tried saving manually or quicksave (ironman). Tried launching several different games (standard map/ custom map) and saving on different turn dates. Disabled editor mode... what am i missing here? :p

Very thankful and much confused,
AP

Hmm.
Did you accidentally activate the Scenario Editor?

Yup, that was it!

I hadn't entered editor or checked any such option myself, but it seems the game loads into editor by default, whenever I load a saved game.

Your reply made me check the hotkeys and press Ctrl-K, which disabled it. Thanks for the help Darvond!

ps. As a veteran of civ 3,4,5, I'm pleasantly surprised at how feature-rich AC is, compared to newer titles.

Yeah, it's why SMAC is considered to have accidentally been the crown prince of the genre; people have been looking for something to top it, and only Civ IV came close.
