Irenaeus.: You've probably seen this fix, but if not, here is a fix for running Alpha Centauri on Netbooks with resolutions higher than 640x480.

I don't know that all of the problems with the game crashing are related to the resolution...I tried the force resolution line in the .ini file and it didn't help, however the combo of disable movie and direct draw=0 did the trick for me.

I have noticed the opening screen looks a little funky but everything else (so far) looks great...regardless, it works and it didn't before so I'm grateful for this method and the tip.

I was so sad when it crashed as I was ecstatic when I saw this on here.
