Is there a way to choose production every time i complete something in a city? Instead of the automatic production that continuously spam the same units

have a look in preferences, there should be options to pop up a window each time a city finish to build a civil unit/a military unit/a building/etc. Check them all and it will pop up any time you can launch a new production in any city.
