Figured I should start a forum post with a list of bugs and any solutions. Hopefully the GOG team will see them and fix them. :-)
Bug 1. Sound
I've noticed on two of my comptuers (Win 7 32) (Win 7 64) and my sister's computer (Win 7 32), that everytime a unit becomes active for the user to give commands, it makes the new unit sound. After a few hours of gamming, this becomes very annoying. I don't think there is any way for the user to fix this other than turning off ALL sfx.
Bug 2. Screen resolution code could use a case for 1024 x 600 netbooks.
This bug does have a user solution. Add the line "Video Mode=800" to [Alpha Centauri] section of "Alpha Centauri.ini".
Bug 3. Noticed on the forums some people are getting the CPU not supported error. Minor bug as the game still runs. There is an unofficial patch out that will fix it. Update: phanboy4 provided this link http://www.civgaming.net/forums/showthread.php?p=162396
Bug 4: http://www.gog.com/en/forum/sid_meier_s_alpha_centauri_/anyone_else_experiencing_game_hangs_and_not_respond The guys in that forum are trying to solve a bug that hangs the game up. Currently isn't fixed by the unofficial patch.
Tweak1: Widescreen support

Tweak2: AI patch

This is another fan patch that just does changes to the AI. It includes the other fan patch and the author has actually joined the forums!
If anyone else comfirms a common bug, please post it bellow and I'll edit my post to include it and any fixes we can think of.
