If i play any human race other than planet cult, the 2 alien races wont spawn anywhere on the map?

Is this a known issue or should i re-download and install?

My internet connection is extremely shit, it will likely take 3 days to download.

The aliens race will spawn after a few turns, not initially (but they'll get some starting bonus to offset that).

Are you sure they were selected when you started the game? Maybe you were playing with random factions?
