Maybe skipping isn't the right word. What's happening is that during most--but not quite all--cinematics, the longer conversational strings won't finish. Sentences get cut off in the middle and the subsequent sentences start too early. For example, during the briefing at the base in the...second mission?...the commander was in the middle of the briefing when he suddenly stopped talking and my character announced, "Yes sir, I understand!"
I'm sorry I'm not being very clear, but any idea what's going on with this?

Does the gog version ship with the multiplayer wizard? If so you need to set the frame limit to 60, the problem is that your computer is way too fast for the game. This should dial is down so that the voices have time to finish talking before your computer loads the next part up.

That did it, thanks
What is the "multiplayer wizard"? I don't see anything like that in my directory. Do I have to modify or add a line to a config file?

Nah nothing that complicated as far as I remember, you should beable to get to the multiplayer wizard by just choosing multiplayer in the ingame menu or from the shogo launcher.
