When playing the game I see the cursor on the crosshair. It's perfectly playable, but it's a bit annoying at times. Anybody know of a way to fix this?

Seems like another program is running on top of it.
Try to exit the more applications you can before playing it, and come again to tell us if that works, or not :)

I've had the same issue myself. I currently use CursorFX Plus. Whether its turned on or off, the cursor doesn't appear. This doesn't occur with other games like Giants, which makes me wonder what's going on.

That seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure what it was, but it can be any of these:
Steam
Mediamonkey
Last.fm
MSN
Sorry for the late response btw, been a bit busy the last few days.
EDIT:
BTW I'm running Vista Ultimate with UAC and some other stuff disabled.

I have Steam as well, so my guess is that its that one. I'll try closing Steam & seeing what happens.
Well, I can't really claim it to be fixed as there is absolutely nothing running in the background and the sursor us still there!
Anyone else finding that when you remap the keys, they don't get saved so next time you run the game you've gotta remap the keys again?

I had the same problem. It was Steam. Fortunately, I didn't have to close Steam entirely; simply removing the viewable window/minimizing it to the system tray took care of the problem. Now I can shoot things without interrupting my precious downloads. Joyous day.
Just wanted to necro this 10 year old post to say I'm having the same issue and minimizing/closing programs or forcing v-sync dosnt fix it like it does in blood 2.

does any one any other fixes for the cursor constantly flashing on screen?

cheers

Oh wow, you have to exit everything, huh? I'll give it a shot.
so i have a problem of my loading cursor flashing in the middle of the screen whenever i play and closing all my apps dont do diddley advice?
Really dumb work around, but it's an acutal fix besides closing programs and hoping for the best.

Download a hidden cursor file.

I have also had the same issue for Blood II and even Shogo M.A.D., where the windows "busy" cursor would flash/flicker annoyingly, it looks like an hourglass, right on top of my game's tagerting cursor.

I have tried going to the mouse themes in control panel, then found a solution after messing with things, what has actually ended up working in the end was to change the default hourglass cursor for "busy", to something else like the circle for vista's spinning circle cursor for "busy".

Fixed it permamnently for me.

Happy gaming.
There is an alternative, better way.
