HELP, just bought and installed, click on play and doesn't lounch. why? what can i do?

Same thing happened to me. I'm using Windows 7 64 bit.

This solution has worked for me: turn off Data Execution Prevention (DEP). Here's a guide: https://www.online-tech-tips.com/windows-xp/disable-turn-off-dep-windows/

First I tried the second option (Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select) and adding "game.exe" to the exception list. That didn't work.. I had to select Turn on DEP for essential Windows programs and services only for the game to launch.

I'm having the same problem. With the Testament of Sherlock Holmes. It doesn't launch at all, not even a blank window flashing on the screen. I've tried some possible solutions I found on the Steam forums such as installing the latest PhysX but nothing is working...
