When I call up the deduction screen and combine proofs, it happens from time to time that (after about an hour) the game crashes without an error message. I find the following entry in the event log:

About 45 minutes passed between the last two crashes. The deduction screen was also called up several times in between without errors.

The rest of the game and other games work perfectly.
