No matter what you do, the science vehicle always gets stuck on the right side of the gate and never "captures" it, resulting in the mission objective never finishing.

I tried bumping the vehicle forward but it always tries to go to the right side of the gate and refuses to go anywhere else. Kind of a bummer after the not so bad campaign...

Did anyone manage to finish the mission normally? If so, how? As far as I can see, the only way to currently finish it is through cheats.
