Hello !

My problem is quite simple : when in the Arming Bay, if I left-click on an equipment so I can put it on my Runner, the game immediatly redeposit it on the rack. The same thing happen if I try to take something from my Runner.

I tried to uninstal/reinstall the game, nothing changed. This bug is really anoying because I can't change any part of my runner.

Same, I can only just barely move items by quickly swiping the mouse over them and clicking at the right moment, but can't get things from the rack onto the vehicle. Fiddling with mouse settings and buttons, nothing has worked so far.

I have the same problem. I am guessing it is a mouse/dosbox issue. The mouse isn't grabbing. I believe the laser weapons are supposed to be hold mouse to fire ... mine require 1 press per shot. I think this is the same issue.

Possible Solution:
1. Download the Game Backup Copy through the GOG Galaxy app. Size should be 460MB.
2. Open file and install to C:\GOG Games\Shattered Steel.
4. Delete DOSBOX folder in C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient\Games\Shattered Steel
4. Copy DOSBOX folder from C:\GOG Games\Shattered Steel to C:\Program Files (x86)\GalaxyClient\Games\Shattered Steel
5. Run game.

Here is a link that you can download the version of DOSBOX that works

This, combined with setting the graphic options for dosbox to overlay and windowed, worked wonders for me. The game is actually playable now!

i tried this and it doesnt work - the arming bay is still broken - i wish gog would fix this

PROBLEM SOLVED!

i got a suggestion to change teh dosbox.exe file in the games dosbox folder with a more recent dosbox.exe (i put the exe for dosbox 0.74-3 in there replacing the one there and i set cycles to 60000 instead of auto and now the arming bay works fine adn the hit detection is normal!!!
