Visually, the game has aged not too bad, but the actual gameplay is outdone a hundred-fold by MechWarrior 2

Mechwarrior 2 is definitely a superior game in intellectual complexity and challenge and story. For what it's wroth though Shattered Steel is fun to play if you've beaten all the MW games.
