ATTN: ISSUE IS SOLVED, DUE TO NEW PATCH FROM THE DEVS

Either manual, or auto my game won't save! I re-installed, ran as admin, even verified my install, no dice, am I the only one with this issue!? Thanks in advance for any light shed on this issue, I posted similar on the steam forums, but would like to know if my fellow gog users share this bug...

My Specs:
Win 10 pro 64
AMD RYZEN 7x1800
GTX 1080 G1 Drv 398.82
GSkill 32 gb DDR 4 3200
Samsung EVO 1tb SSD
ASRock Taichi 370 MoBo
EVGA 850W PSU

On windows 7 everything's okay. So I think it's the OS.

I'm not facing this issue, so I cannot help.
I'm also under Windows 10 Pro 64 bits and I also have a Samsung SSD 850 EVO, so I don't think it's the OS.

If you have an antivirus software, have you checked that it hasn't put the files in quarantine ?
Or maybe it's a privilege issue (running on a standard account, trying to save to a folder that the user doesn't have write access to)

I'm on Win10 x64 and it seems to work fine. Just played a few hours.
Check if you have a file here:
C:\Users\<your username>\AppData\LocalLow\Games Farm\Shadows_ Awakening\saves

My filename is like: 0-0-0-9c6-5b944bc1-9.sav

I'm assuming this is my character's progress file.

ps. It is a strange place they save the games. Usually its under documents or atleast Roaming folder. Had to look a while to find it :)

In Polish note:

1) Proszę przeinstaluj grę, a następnie dodaj ją do wyjątków programu antywirusowego i zapory ogniowej. Jeżeli używasz GALAXY, to również dodaj GALAXY do wyjątków.
Proszę spróbuj zainstalować grę na dysku C:\ ale poza folderami Program Files oraz Program Files(x86).
Upewnij się, że zainstalowałeś grę na lokalizacji o w miarę krótkiej nazwie:
C:\GOG lub C:\Games

2) Jako, że Twoja aktualna wersja DirectX mogła ulec uszkodzeniu, proszę zainstaluj wersję czerwcową 2010 DirectX:
http://files.gog.com/support/Directx_Jun2010_redist.exe
Proszę rozpakuj DirectX do dowolnego folderu. Następnie wejdź do tego folderu. Powinien znajdować się w nim plik "setup.exe." prosze zainstaluj DirectX za jego pomocą.

After that turn off the PC and restart it.

Thanks for posting this, but I completely forgot that I posted this, as my issue has long been fixed otherwise I would have edited this as solved, but yeah, I can still use your advice for another game I'm having issues with!

I'm having "the same" issue.

For me it is constant non ending try to save game.
I've disabled firewall and i have no antivirus currently active so none of those should block game from saving.

I have 2 files in save folder one .sav file and one .meta file with modify date seems to be taken from the time of changing settings but no actual save of the game.

Im logged in my admin account on my pc (win7).

I've already submit a ticket to tech support and waiting for response.

I have the same exact behaviour on my end, the game writes those two files and saves changes on settings, but it doesn't save the progress after starting a new game.

I've tried all the fixes on this forum, as well as running the game as admin and launching it without GOG Galaxy like the support ticket recommended, but so far nothing has solved this issue.

Fingers crossed on someone finding a fix for this!
