Did somebody try to run "Shadows: Awakening" using wine (on Linux)? If so, did you get the game running?
Thanks in advance!

Hi, sorry for the necromancy, just in case you still need help running it, you just need to apply this fix

https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IajQcm5FyokCIQKSeXM07JACQLO9k-7A/view

for some missing DLLs, as seen at this video

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_OlCMvWfEE

Remember to change the last two lines of the script depending of where you have your wineprefix.

sylar666: Hi, sorry for the necromancy...
A good necromancer is always welcome when trying to help so thanks for that!

Gracias! ;)
Hey, sorry… I can not test it for some time.
I'll reply back ASAP!

Anyways, obrigado for the hints! :-)
Even more necromancy: In current stable wine (9.0), the game runs out of the box. No additional fixes necessary. First time starting up a new game seems to lock up for a bit while shaders are being compiled (presumably), but after a minute or so, it's smooth as butter.
For all curious Linux Gamers, even if the topic is a little bit outdated....

Fedora 40, Gnome, Wayland with Nvidia.
Game runs through Heroic und latest Wine GE 8.2x out of the box with very good performance here.

Predecessor runs out of the box and with very good performance too.
