Thanks GOG. Patience is a virtue... :-| just an annoying one to practice.
It's still showing version 2.0.4 for the Windows version in my library.
Can you patch over an ongoing playthrough? Or do you have to start a new campaign game?
And are you considering using incremental patches in the future?

where do you get the update from? usually it's on the game tab in my library of games but all I see is the full game download and no patches separately

Hi. You'll need to download the full install again, it's been updated with all of the previous patches and the new patch.
No love for those with a limited internet connection. What happened to separate patches? Add the updated installer AND a patch for older versions. That used to be possible with good old games, so what is the problem now?

That is just the version of the installer itself (confusing, I know). Once you install the game, you will see that it is indeed 2.0.7.

GoG seems to alternate between patches and updating the installer. So the next update (presuming there is another update) will most likely be a patch and the one after that will likely be an updated install file.

It does keep our Game sections clear of seventy odd patches, which may or may not be need to be installed in a specific order or included in the final patch.

This is entirely circumstantial, I assure you. There is no pattern on whether GOG will upload a patch or replace the full install. It all depends on how much the patch changes, and how difficult it will be for GOG to create a patch from what the devs give them. GOG wants to get us the changes as fast as possible, and since they create their own patches it may be quicker for them to upload a new installer.
I wouldn't mind getting a separate patch after a while though.
Damn it GOG.

I guess I'm not going to touch this game until it seems clear that there are no more patches.

There never was a separate patch for version 2.0.7. We made an all-new installer as per my OP :) So all you need is the installer, setup_shadowrun_dragonfall_directors_cut_2.0.4.6.exe, and you'll be all up to date :)
