New Game on Shadow Run Hong Kong works through the character editor all the way to the video. After the Video, Hard Landing Load page only gets to about 5% before freezing.

Someone Recommended that I run a compatibility mode adjustment. This did not help.

I am using GOG Galaxy platform so would this prevent the solution? I don't know what to do.

That "someone" from your earlier thread says: have you tried to manually install the game and see if the problem persists?

Have you tried to run it directly, i.e. not through the client? Galaxy should (in theory) install the game in the same way as if you had run the installer, so you should have a game directory, and inside that there should be a srhk.exe file - try running that instead of going via the client.

How long did you wait for it? On my older machine (Windows XP - so guess how old the HW was!), the older SRR would take a very long time to load some of the levels.

If that doesn't work, take Vythonaut's suggestion and install via the manual downloaders - though this will of course mean downloading the whole thing again.

FYI SRHK works fine on Windows 10 - you shouldn't need to mess with compatability settings.

The only other thing I can think of - because others have had this issue - is it could be related to your firewall and/or virus checkers. Using the standard Windows firewall seems OK (I can block it and it works no problem), but there are others where this causes the game to freeze.

Thanks for posting everyone. It looks like a simple uninstall and reinstallation did the trick. I do not know what happened that was different. Oh Hairbrained Schemes...
