magisterludi: Does the game take a disturbing long time to load for anyone else? I played the original with no problem, but dragonfall will not load! I can create a character with no problem, but as soon as I launch the campaign (something Manor run), it sticks. I gave it ten minutes... Any suggestions? Running an older macbook pro 2011...
I had this problem with a mid-2010 MBP with 256MB of "shared" VRAM. The problem went away when I unchecked "HD Textures," exited the game completely, and then started it again. I have 8GB of RAM and the CPU wasn't even getting pegged but my Mac was still slow when I command-tabbed. It wasn't effects, so I am guessing it was not enough VRAM or something like that.
Only happened in big outside areas which tended to have the most textures
