I bought the Encephalon NEXT for my decker, but since I had it installed I cannot equip a deck or smartlink weapon anymore - the game claims that my character does not have a datajack installed. Anyone had the same problem and maybe knows a workaround?

Only datajacks are datajacks. If you install anything else in your head slot, you won't have a datajack there anymore.

There are two other types of datajacks available in addition to the default head slot installation: one goes in the eyes and the other in an arm slot.
