After I've rescued Coyote's brother she said that she would aid me in my runs, but I can't seem to find her in the lists of availabe shadow runners.

I'm playing the current GOG version (1.2.6) including the Dragonfall expansion. I'm currently doing the Mercy Mental Hospital run and I was able to recruit Shannon Half-Sky for free, but no sign of Coyote or Paco. How can I rectify that?

Well I'm pretty sure Paco isn't available for further runs anyway - I think he's only ever available for certain specific ones (like the quest to find/rescue Coyote, and her brother's rescue). Either that or he becomes on of the random runners that become available (?).

As for Coyote herself, she's not available for that mission as she still has things to take care of wrt her brother.

But don't worry, she should be available for any subsequent missions if you want. She's not great IMO but I bring her every now and then since she's cheaper than the others.
I was able to hire Coyote for missions that came after the cemetery incident. But she wanted to see money, which is kinda weird, because I helped her for free earlier. Was it like this when you played the game, too?

Coyote isn't full time shadowrunner but when can be hired that will be either for free or discounted because you are friends.

In late game she's kinda cheap, just 1k with all upgraded skills and guns of cash while others raise in prices as they get better. Even if you can carry only 3 bug-killing guns she's very useful with firepower. Also sequences when you infiltrate the cult.

I never used Nephilim Network as they were not adequate to prices and stuff.

Yeah her price doesn't increase which is good, and I definitely had her for the bug-squashing missions at too. She's not bad by any means, but I tend to prefer assault rifles over shotguns most of the time.

Nephilim does seem like a rip-off for most of the guys - especially since a lot of them are multi-talented, so they're average at lots of things instead of just great at one thing.

Having said that, I tend to grab one every now and then - it all depends on the level, as sometimes they can be worth it. I vaguely remember at least one who I've hired in the past, though I can't remember his name: he's the "cybered warrior" who in later levels kicks ass while his price isn't too bad.

I was a 50/50 assault rifles/shotgun user with my Street Sam/Mage Hybrid. Gives good distance and "up in yo' face' damage when desired. And regarding the Nephilim, like you, I would occasionally hire from there, in particular, a Mage by the name of Alexander Falk, IIRC, that had some nice buff-debuff spells, and always had a decent barrier spell. Always nice to have as a good support character on the team, and he generally filled that need nicely.

Is he the dwarf? If so then I've also used him from time to time for pretty much the same purpose, and IIRC he typically had a decent price if you compare skills/price between him and the "regular" mages.

That's the dude!....errrr dwarf I mean. Yeah, although he was Nephilim, and a bit more expensive, his fee compared to other mages, was more than justified for his abilities and skills compared to others, regardless of where they were picked up or cost.
I hired Alexander Falk too, every now and then. His haste, aim, armor and heal really came in handy. Good support mage.
