For some reason, the 'Antechamber' room does not display properly, showing nothing but blackness, with a sparkling archway and mist on the ground. It doesn't display the lever, door, or anything else; furthermore, the F2 (Show Objects) doesn't illuminate the unseen objects either - it just highlights the sparkling archway. By moving the mouse around blindly and fumbling around, I can find obects based on approximate locations on the map thumbnail (which DOES display correctly), but that's cumbersome and I'm concerned that I'm missing something. Furthermore, the same problem occurred in 'Grotto'. All of the other rooms that I've discovered so far display just fine and properly.
I suspected perhaps a corrupted resource file, but re-downloading and re-installing didn't fix it. Any further ideas why just those two rooms are failing to display properly? Thanks.
[Edited to add more specific info]
This problem only occurs on my Windows XP box. I downloaded and installed the linux version on my Mint machine, and it doesn't happen there. I don't have another Windows machine to see if it's specific to that box, but at least I'm able to play it under Linux. I'm still interested in a solution if there is one. Not sure what info would be helpful in diagnosing the problem, other than that it's running on WinXP Home SP3, on a Dell Dimension Desktop DIM4600, Pentium 4 2.80GHz, 2 GB RAM. If anyone has any ideas, or needs additional information about my computer, please ask and I can provide it. Thanks again.
