I've not bought the GOG release, but I have the original CD and it was one of the few games I could get to run well under WINE.

That was years ago, mind.
I use CrossOver for Linux, which is based on Wine 1.7.25. It works well, though I have only played the beginning of the game so far.

I run it under Debian 11 with WINE 6.0.4 in a 32/64 Bit Prefix and it runs fine with the exception of the logo video and the intro video. I watched them with VLC Player as they are regular MPG files in the video folder.
