I recently started a new game of SW2 after a pause of several years. Due to busy life, and not wanting to deal with dying too much, I started the game on easy. The first few levels were fine, but I'm now at the beginning of the mission "Industrial Espionage", and it's just impossible.

The enemies are such bullet sponges, even the basic low-level guys, that I run out of ammo, Melee weapons are also useless. I've put different types of (higher level) gems into the weapons, but it does not seem to matter. I was also overwhelmed by a horde of enemies, most of which were special.

The funny thing is, the last time I played on normal, I don't remember it being this hard and I got a lot further in the game. It feels bugged somehow, like the damage I take is on easy, but everything else is on a much harder difficulty? Anyone know what the problem is or what I could do to fix it? I'd rather not start all over again...

Maybe you misclicked and changed the difficulty? or it is a bug. My game is good, but I never tested Easy.

I double checked the difficulty in the main menu, and it was set on easy. But your reply gave me an idea. So I changed the difficulty to normal before resuming the game, played for a minute, exited to main menu, and changed the difficulty back to easy, and now it plays as it should!

So it was a classic case of "have you tried turning it off and on again?" :-) Anyway, I'm a happy camper again. Thanks for the help!
