Does anybody know if GOG and Steam users will be able to play online together?

I would like to know as well.
I bought Dying Light earlier and was quite annoyed discovering that I can't play with Steam users.

Same happen with Grim Dawn. GOG team should do a "MORE WATCHABLE" advertise for this.

Dying Light and Grim Dawn are precisely the reasons why I'm asking.

I also asked on the Steam forums (can't post the like to the discussion, but it's easy enough to find) and it seems that you can, but no source was cited.

Edit: on FaceBook some guy said cross-play it's not the plan but didn't provide any evidence for his claim either.

I honestly don't know what to think.

ehh so i gotta install gog galaxy? tried it when avp2000 came out and didnt like it. also have too many clients already. damn steam, origin, battle.net, and uplay -_-

Devolver and flying hogs have tweeted Shadow Warrior 2 players on both Steam and @GOGcom can play co-op together through the magic of the internet

Welp, they finally added this to the GOG store page for SW2:

"Multiplayer notice: Shadow Warrior 2 features crossplay public matches that you can play with your friends no matter where the game was purchased (PC only). "

Shame it still doesn't mention that you have to use Galaxy, but better than no cross play at all ;)
