There was a patch released on Steam:

Shadow Warrior Patch Notes:

Shadow Warrior 1.0.2
- Fixed many crashes.
- Gozu freeze bug fixed.
- Troll shield now always breaks after troll's death.
- Custom katana selection hack blocked.
- Fixed several places through the game where players could get stuck or fall below level geometry.
- Safe mode added.
- Language packs added.

"many crashes" huh, I haven't seen any yet. There is also talk farther down in the thread about Flying Wild Hog is or will be working on optimizations. Now that I could get excited about.

And now there is a 1.0.3 patch on steam, I assume though that is going to hit tomorrow.

Yeah I got the game on Steam, I made a thread, pretty much everyone told me I should be able to get 90+ FPS on high/ultra mixed settings(SSAO and mirrors disabled of course), I have yet to see this happen,. Best part is, it doesn't matter what graphics settings I'm using, I even switched everything to lowest today, and no performance increase at all. Don't think this game likes ATI cards.

And for the record, I can run Hard Reset perfectly on high/ultra settings. So yeah, I do really hope opt. fixes release.

It's the worst performing game I have ever known (and my PC is usually pretty good at, well, everything). Maybe it hates Nvidia cards or something? I mean I put everything on the lowest setting and the framerate is usually still in single fingers!

That doesn't sound right at all... I use an Nvidia card and it runs great for me; it even runs great on Linux using CrossOver (I played through the entire game this way)!


My system specs:

i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz
8GB RAM
GTX 570

Dual boot Linux Mint 15 KDE and Windows 7 Ultimate (both 64bit), although I don't use Windows very often any more

What kind of card you have? It managed to run on my old GeForce GTX 550 Ti on the High preset, and on my new GTX 660 it runs Ultra even smoother with no problems. My rig is 2 years old now.
