I just got the game during its free sale and when I tried playing multiplayer, it gives me an error saying 'network and/or galaxy connection is unavailable'. I am playing it in the GoG Galaxy Client and it doesn't say i'm offline. Is there any fix to this?

Edit: Friend is having no problem with getting online, it seems to be just me. I did read on the steam forum that having an ascii character breaks it. Can it be my underscore?

I have the exact same problem. Would love to know a fix since i was planning on doing a 4 man coop playthrough tonight.
I had the same problem.

Got it fixed now, but im not sure what exactly fixed it.

I reinstalled Galaxy and the game, started a new savegame and completed the first mission to unlock multiplayer. Now i can join and host games without the error message.

I also have the game and Galaxy as outbound rules in the Windows Firewall, but i had that before the reinstall and it didnt make a difference.

Not saying those are absolute guaranteed fixes, but a reinstall of Galaxy and the game with a fresh savegame might work.

To those who want to try: Try making a fresh save first (mine was quite old), and then if that doesnt work, see the steps above.

Good luck!
